Capri Sun Fruit Pops

While browsing around AOL today I found this really yummy, quick, healthy recipe. Only takes a few minutes to make these and they're great to make with the kids and a lot healthier than sugar filled no nutritional value popsicles! You can use any fruit you want, you don't have to use the ones listed here. Try making your own! Thanks to kitchendaily.com for the recipe and photo!

Capri Sun Fruit Pops

1 cup strawberries, finely chopped

1 cup blueberries

2 6-ounce Capri Sun pouches or 1 1/2 cups fruit punch

1 Cup seedless grapes, halved

Directions

Gather these tools: cutting board, chef's knife, dry and wet measuring cups, mixing bowl, spoon, popsicle molds

Combine the fruit in a large mixing bowl. Spoon the mixture into 8 popsicle molds. Fill each mold with enough punch to reach the fill line. Add the popsicle stick and place in the freezer.

Freeze for at least 4 hours up to overnight, or until the popsicles are frozen solid. Allow the molds to sit at room temperature for 5 minutes or place under warm running water for 10-20 seconds to remove popsicles.

Serve immediately.

I bought this giant cupcake silicone pan set at the flea market last weekend for $6! My daughter's birthday party is next Saturday and I really am having trouble figuring out exactly what to do with it as far as icing. Lowe's is always running free workshops for kids on Saturdays. I always have seen the posters but never bothered signing up. School homework kits

This week I loaded up on some of Walmart's back to school deals and made my girls homework kits with items that they can only use for homework. They each get their own kit and after homework they get put up so they don't get mixed up with play stuff.

The boxes included a box of Crayola crayons (25 cents each), Elmer's Glue Sticks (25 cents for a 2 pack) scissors (74 cents each) Rose Art markers (70 cents each), the box itself (60 cents each) and 2 pencils from a pack of 20 (1 dollar). So the total for each box were less than 3 dollars each! Not bad considering they should last most of the year!
